Really Simple UTM Builder adds a campaign URL builder directly to your WordPress site. You and your team can generate trackable links — the kind that tell Google Analytics where your traffic came from — without memorizing UTM syntax or worrying about typos.
This guide covers what the plugin does and how to install it.
What it does
A UTM link is a normal web address with a few extra tags on the end that tell your analytics tool how a visitor found you. For example:
https://yoursite.com/page/?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=spring_launch
Building those by hand is error-prone. One person writes Facebook, another writes facebook, and your reports split into two. Really Simple UTM Builder gives everyone the same guided form, so every link follows the same clean naming scheme.
Key things to know:
It lives on a page of your choosing, embedded with a shortcode.
Logged-in team members can pick any page or post from a dropdown; logged-out visitors can paste any URL.
It stores nothing — links are generated right in the browser and copied with one click.
It works with any page builder: Divi, Elementor, the block editor, and more.
Installing the plugin
1. Download the latest really-simple-utm-builder.zip.
2. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
3. Choose the zip file and click Install Now.
4. Click Activate.
Once active, you're ready to embed the builder on a page. See Embedding and using the builder for the next step.
Previewing the tool
Want to see what the builder looks like before adding it to a page? Go to Tools → UTM Builder in your dashboard. That screen shows a live preview identical to what your visitors will see, plus a quick shortcode reference.
